St. Pete Coffee Shop Brand Photoshoot for Social Media Content Strategist
Choosing a location for your brand photoshoot doesn’t have to be stressful. There are so many places in your area, it may just take a little bit of searching! My favorite spot to shoot outside of my studio are coffee shops! I love the environment, the decor is super nice and it’s a location to grab working shots with a cute cup of coffee and a treat.
My quarterly client Amber of A Creative Co, found two coffee shops in the downtown St. Pete area, and they were perfect for creating content! We shot at Intermezzo first and then moved over to Book + Bottle, and I’m obsessed with how they turned out!
If you’re planning a shoot at a coffee shop, keep these tips in mind:
Schedule the shoot during a time when it isn’t as busy. In other words, avoid high peak times like early morning before normal work hours or lunchtime. You want to be able to grab a good seat and not have a bunch of folks in the shot.
Ask permission before you shoot. Let them know you’re planning to take a few photos with a photographer (or with your camera if you’re taking them yourself and ask if it’s ok.) Most likely they’ll say yes. Try to be discreet and not hog a bunch of space around you for others who may be there eating and working.
Buy something at the coffee shop, as a thank you for allowing you to shoot there.
Show some social media love to the coffee shop, by taking photos and videos on your phone of the space and tagging them in stories.
Tag them in the content you post later! It could be the start of a great relationship, especially if you frequent there.
