Tampa Beach Yoga Blogger Photoshoot: Heather

Had so much fun shooting at Ben T. Davis Beach in Tampa with Heather of Fit Foodie Life. We shot these photos of her doing yoga for a brand partnership with Calia Fitness.

When you collaborate with brands, they will have you submit photo/content ideas to promote their product or for their campaign. Once it’s approved, it’s time to shoot! They’ll often have guidelines and specific copy/keywords and branded hashtags you’ll need to include when you post.

The key to landing brand partnerships is to create content similar to what the brand already posts. They need to see how your content fits their aesthetic to increase the likeliness of getting featured. Before you shoot, take a look at what they’ve already posted, and use that as inspiration.

Even before you pitch a brand, consider creating content with products you already have of theirs and posting it on your platforms. Tag them and use their branded hashtag to get on their radar. Tag them in stories on Instagram, and share why you love the brand.

It’s also a good idea to have a blog, a platform that you own, and post consistently. Brands value blogs, because the content lives longer and can be found by Google, so it’s good for their SEO. I recommend launching your blog on either Wordpress or Squarespace and creating a consistent posting schedule.
