How to Plan Spring 2022 Content for Your Small Business

Spring is here, and it’s time to create content that relates to your niche with a spring theme.

For example, mini sessions are popular for photographers, such as Mother’s Day and Easter. Brand photographers also offer mini branding sessions. It’s a great way to jumpstart your branding.

Think about how you can incorporate spring themes in your content.

Common spring themes are:

  • Spring cleaning

  • Flowers

  • Plants

  • Garden

  • Organization

  • Budget Planning/Taxes

  • Easter

  • Spring fashion and beauty

  • Healthy meals

Research trending topics for spring, to add relevance to your business. For example, it’s tax season, so if you over tax filing or bookkeeping, it’s a good idea to double up on your content to attract new clients. You can also search Pinterest Trends and social media planner blogs like Planoly and Later to stay on top of trends.

Batch Create Your Visuals

Look at previous posts that performed well last spring. How can you repurpose into a graphic, Reel, blog post or YouTube video? Send an email to your list to educate, entertain or inspire them for spring.

Then, create fresh content for the year based on where you are in business now or specific goals you want to accomplish. Consider collaborating with others who offer complementary services to cross promote and grow your audience.

Create content that’s fun and entertaining for your audience! I recently created some spring content for a collaboration with LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls to inspire my audience who is always looking for outfit ideas to wear in their own branded content.

They gifted me a beautiful collection of spring items, like light-wash jeans, lightweight sweaters and dresses. I chose pieces in my brand colors to stay on-brand, and they fit great! I’m always on the hunt for brands who offer plus sizes, and love this one. They also sent me a pair of low heel sandals and strappy high heels that are surprisingly comfortable.

I shot these at the beautiful Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. The flowers were blooming, the trees were super green and it was nice and windy outside. I chose different backdrops for each dress to create some variety. I shot some of them with phone, tripod and self-timer and the rest my husband snapped the photos and videos with my phone. Checkout a fun mashup of videos of me modeling each look below:
