How to Diversify Your Online Marketing
How do you get the most out of your content?
Diversify your marketing and repurpose your content!
You’re spending hours creating high quality content and it only lives on one platform, likely getting overlooked or forgotten after a few hours or at most, a day.
You need multiple touch points with your ideal client or customer before they buy from you. If you only rely on social media to reach your audience, you could be leaving both opportunity and money on the table.
Increase your reach, engagement and results by repurposing your content on other channels outside of IG, like your blog, Pinterest and e-mail. There are of course other platforms, but these are a great place to start.
I started creating content with the strategy to drive more traffic to my website to book my services, sell more digital products and increase engagement overall and it worked! My online sales increase, inquiries increased, website views increased and overall income increased.
A real example of diversifying a piece of content in your marketing:
Piece of content: Top images from a recent client session. The goal is to promote my 1:1 service, a brand photoshoot. The strategy is to drive traffic to my Services and Content pages to boost inquiries.
I will first create the content for my blog, with a gallery or slideshow of images from the session. The post will link to the Services and Contact pages.
Next, I’ll pin the blog post and images to Pinterest, linking back to the blog post, Services and Contact pages.
I will then create an Instagram post, such as a reel or carousel post of behind the scenes from a client session and the final images. I’ll include a call to action to visit my link in bio where there are buttons linking to the Services and Contact pages.
Lastly, I’ll send an e-mail to my list, sharing an update on the latest blog post feature, and include a call to action to visit those pages.
This strategy reaches a wider audience, and also reaches those who many not see the IG post, or blog post or read the e-mail. It doesn’t leave your marketing up to chance with algorithms.
